Carnival Glory has resumed Caribbean service from Miami following a multimillion-dollar renovation at Grand Bahama Shipyard that added an adults-only retreat, a poolside LED screen and a Circle ‘C’ facility for 12- to 14-year-olds.

KONE gives Silver Spirit a lift

KONE has designed, manufactured and installed 10 customized marine elevators on board Silver Spirit, six for passengers and four for crew and service use. The 36,000gt Silver Spirit is the largest ship in Silversea’s fleet with eight decks, and accommodating 540 passengers and crew of 378.

AIDAblu fitted with ALMACO food handling systems

ALMACO Group has completed the contract to supply galleys, pantries and provision stores for AIDAblu, due to be handed over by Meyer Werft later this month.


Prinsendam gains 21 staterooms

Holland America Line’s Prinsendam emerged from a 10-day drydock at Grand Bahama Shipyard with 21 new staterooms, an expanded aft pool deck, upgraded public areas and other enhancements. Passenger capacity increased from 793 to 835.
