Celesytal Journey will visit Heraklion instead of Ashdod in Israel through to end November
Celestyal Cruises acquired Holland America Line’s former Ryndam, which will be renamed Celestyal Journey following extensive works.

The 1,260-passenger vessel was most recently operated by P&O Cruises Australia.

A refurbishment and technical maintenance overhaul to prepare the ship for service will cost €20m. Celestyal Journey will undergo work in the wider Piraeus ship repair zone.

Significant increase in premium and balcony staterooms

‘While the global events of the past few years have placed our growth plans on pause, the positive industry outlook along with strong bookings for the coming season provides Celestyal with the opportunity to recommence the process of renewing our fleet with new vessels,’ explained Celestyal CEO Chris Theophilides.

‘In addition to her expansive open decks, numerous bar and dining options and spacious public areas and staterooms, Celestyal Journey provides our guests with a significant increase in premium and balcony staterooms, which continue to be in high demand on all of our voyages.’

Details regarding the onboard experience and itineraries are to be announced in due course.
