CMV ships sailing from 11 UK departure ports, plus Dublin and Cobh, in 2018
A quarter of all Cruise & Maritime Voyages(CMV) passengers who travelled on the company's ship departures from 11 UK ports plus Dublin and Cobh, between January-June 2018, were first time cruisers.

According to completed customer satisfaction questionnaires collected onboard in the first half of this year, 90% of first time cruisers would like to cruise again and 88% of passengers surveyed prefer to sail directly from the UK.

More than 42,000 passengers completed the CMV on-board questionnaires with many couples and others sharing a cabin completing just one questionnaire together.

57% of regular passengers who filled in the survey had sailed with CMV more than five cruises.

The company also found 50% booked their cruise between six and twelve months before departure, with 30% booking at least 12 months before departure.

The customer satisfaction questionnaires revealed that CMV passengers are technologically savvy with 90% having internet access and 95% using email.

The main reasons given as to why the CMV product is so popular with  both first time cruisers and regular cruisers is the ease of travel and the convenience of sailing from one of CMV’s 11 UK departure ports, noted the cruise line.

In addition, the price and related value together with an interesting choice of itineraries are highly rated.
