Myrmell said the first duty-free Pandora store at sea will open in the appropriately named Pacific Jewel in June.
He said four more outlets will be added to P&O Cruises Australia’s five-ship fleet over the coming months, including the new Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden to come on line in November.
Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Pandora’s hand-finished and modern jewellery is made in Thailand and sold in more than 90 countries.
‘Our ships will be the only locations outside airports to sell Pandora at duty-free prices, so this is quite a coup for us,’ Myrmell said.
He said Pandora enjoys a huge following in Australia, particularly for its collectable charms.
He said the travel-inspired charms will be popular with passengers as either a keepsake of the cruise or as gifts to take home.
