A first world cruise for AIDAaura

AIDAaura is currently four days into her 2018/19 and first world cruise.

After a send-off with fireworks from Hamburg on Monday evening, the ship started the first part of her world voyage leading AIDAaura across the equator from Europe to South America.

20 countries and 41 ports

In total, the ship will visit 20 countries and 41 ports with stops in some of the famous marque port cities as well as Namibia, Melbourne, Tasmania and Fiji, Samoa, and New Caledonia.

After stops in Brazil and Argentina, the itinerary leads to the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia, then onto Chile before head to Australia and Tasmania with stops in Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Fiji, Tasmania.

The voayge then and continues towards Mauritius, crossing the Indian Ocean.

Included are ports in South Africa and Namibia, and after crossing the equator a second time, onto the Canary Islands, Paris and returning to Hamburg after 117 days, on February 2, 2019.

Second world voyage in 2019/20

AIDAaura is scheduled for a second world cruise starting on October 28, 2019, again for a duration of 117 days and visiting 41 ports and calling at ports for the first time in the history of AIDA Cruises.

These are, among others, the Cook Islands, three new ports in New Zealand, Kangaroo Island and Esperance in Australia, Maputo in Mozambique and East London in South Africa.
