Seven new dates have been added in first quarter 2019 and 12 in the fourth quarter.
Nile cruising on Sanctuary Sun Boat IV
The program operates round-trip Cairo, starting with three nights at the Marriott Mena House for tours of Cairo and Giza for Sakkara, the Great Pyramid and the Great Sphinx. Travelers fly to Luxor for the Great Temple of Karnak then embark Sanctuary Sun Boat IV to continue to the Valley of the Kings.
Further highlights include Thebes, the Temple of Luxor and Esna for the Temple of Khnum. The cruise goes on to Edfu to view the Temple of Horus and to Kom Ombo with its temple to the sun god and the crocodile god. Aswan follows.
Travelers disembark Sun Boat IV and fly to Abu Simbel for the temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. The program ends with two nights at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and further Cairo sightseeing.
Savings up to $2,000 and reduced single supplements
Travelers can save up to $2,000 per person, and solos save an additional $500 off the single supplement on select dates. With the discount, the 10-day program is priced starting at $5,395.
A&K also noted progress on building the new Grand Egyptian Museum underground on the Giza Plateau continues, and said a spokesman for President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has announced that completion of all stages and furnishings is scheduled for 2020.
