A trio of maiden calls wraps up a busy summer for Le Havre
In a busy two summer months Le Havre welcomed 25 ships and more than 70,000 passengers.

Ships from AIDA Cruises, Princess Cruises, Saga Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Viking Cruises, TUI Cruises and Costa Crociere, have all visited the port this summer.

Oceania Cruises’ Sirena confucted a turnaround on August 6/7 during a maiden visit to the French Atlantic port. Another first time visitor was Saga Pearl II which called on Monday. A plaque exchange ceremony involved the ship’s master Capt Nicholas Sunderland, port captain Patrick Abjean and Jean-Baptiste Gastinne, president of the Le Havre Cruise Club.

TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff 5 made it a third maiden visit for the month with a call on the last day of August. Captain Todd Burgman who brought Mein SChiff 4 to Le havre in 2015 invited local representatives onboard to view the newest TUI cruise ship. Captain Nicolas Chervy presented the master with a port medal engraved with his name and the traditional plate.
