Queen of the Mississippi will be renamed American Pride
When Queen of the Mississippi repositions to the Pacific Northwest, it will sail under the new name American Pride. The American Cruise Lines paddlewheeler joins Queen of the West on the Columbia and Snake rivers in 2016.

The 150-passenger American Pride, which entered service three years ago, has been operating on the Mississippi River. Its new seven- to 10-day Pacific Northwest routes will begin April 2, 2016.

The vessel will be replaced on the Mississippi in 2016 by the larger America, which is currently being completed at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland.

In the Pacific Northwest American Pride will serve regional and traditional American cuisine made with sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Experts in history, nature and culture will provide enrichment programs on board. Passengers will have views of the Columbia River Gorge from large balconies. Complimentary cocktail hours and noted local musicians will be other features.

Reservations are open for American Pride's 2016 and 2017 schedules.
