As director of on-board programs in the company's enrichment division he'll work alongside Jennifer Korn, who has been with the Compass team since 2010. Together they will be responsible for booking the destination, destination-related, world affairs and special interest speakers for the clients Compass represents.
Citing the unprecedented newbuild orderbook and the doubling in size of the Compass headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, president and CEO Niklas Sardana III called the timing of Poulton's hiring 'perfect.'
'Andrew’s expertise in so many facets of our industry provides a valuable contribution to the continued growth of the company,' Sardana said.
Poulton brings more than 35 years of cruise industry experience. He had been with Silversea's Florida office since April 2010. (His position was moved to the company's Monaco headquarters and assumed by Antonio Marangi, with Poulton involved in the transition through 2017.)
Previously, Poulton was with Regent Seven Seas Cruises for more than 13 years, where he held various roles, including director of corporate communications and director of strategic marketing. Earlier, he was with Cunard Line in London and New York for 16 years, ultimately as assistant VP marketing planning.
