'Believe' is the theme of the national conference taking place this week aboard Carnival Vista
Carnival Corp. & plc president and ceo Arnold Donald stressed the importance of collaborating with travel professionals in his keynote address, opening the Cruises Inc., CruiseOne and Dream Vacations national conference aboard Carnival Vista.

Donald also participated in a question and answer session with David Crooks, vp operations, World Travel Holdings, the parent of Cruises Inc., CruiseOne and Dream Vacations.

The conference has drawn approximately 1,000 attendees.

Donald spoke Saturday before the ship sailed from Miami, and Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy welcomed the agents to her brand's newest ship. Drew Daly, manager of network engagement & performance, Cruises Inc., CruiseOne and Dream Vacations, emceed and led a dance-off that got the crowd on their feet—including Carnival senior cruise director, John Heald, who took off his jacket and suspenders.

'Since a majority of our business comes from selling cruise vacations, it is important to us that we host our national conference aboard a cruise ship, so that our network of home-based travel professionals can experience first-hand the product that they are selling,' Daly said.

The conference theme, 'Believe,' is intended to create a positive, energizing atmosphere. Throughout the week, attendees will hear presentations from other industry leaders and participate in interactive workshops and networking activities with suppliers and World Travel Holdings management.
