Jackie Gordon has joined Aurora Expeditions’ expanding Sydney-based team
Jackie Gordon, a former sales manager for Australian flagged and crewed Coral Expeditions in  Far North Queensland. has been appointed Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia business development manager for Aurora Expeditions.

Gordon will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with the company’s trade distribution partners in these states.

‘Jackie’s appointment signals the organisation’s ongoing commitment to the trade,’ Robert Halfpenny, md of Aurora Expeditions, said.

Halfpenny said it also signals preparations for the launch of the state-of-the-art ice class 1A ship Greg Mortimer, named after the company’s founder, in October 2019.

As previously reported, Greg Mortimer is being built in China using X-BOW (pronounced ‘crossbow’) technology which will enable it to pierce waves with much greater stability than a traditional bow. It also improves fuel efficiency and reduces air emissions.

Greg Mortimer will offer a new range of ship-based adventures to Latin America, the Caribbean Coast, Iceland, Greenland and East Coast Canada.
