Early bird savings of up to 20% have been announced for selected 2020/21 polar sailings of the joint Intrepid/Chimu charter of Ocean Endeavour.

One of the biggest Antarctica sellers

That is when the charter will be fully branded as Intrepid’s Peregrine Adventures.

When Intrepid, founded in 1989, formed a joint partnership to charter Ocean Endeavour with Chimu Adventures, which was founded in 2004, it became one of the biggest sellers of Antarctica globally.

To qualify for the early bird discounts, bookings must be made by March 31 next year.

The 2020/21 programme promises an ‘ultimate white Christmas,’ departing Ushuaia on an 11-day round voyage on December 18, 2020.

Ice camping

Passengers will have the option of ice camping overnight ‘like a true polar explorer.’ They will explore the Antarctic Peninsula, visit penguin rookeries and take Zodiacs for up-close wildlife encounters.

Another highlight is the 11-day ‘New Year in Antarctica’ round voyage along the Antarctic Peninsula, departing Ushuaia on December 27, 2020.

Passengers have been promised a New Year’s celebration ‘like no other,’ including a shipboard party, in the southernmost region of the world.

The season is one of the most active times for wildlife and passengers have also been promised lots of opportunities to see penguins, seals and whales.

Experts on marine biology, glaciology and history

Ocean Endeavour has an expedition crew member for every eight passengers and experts on marine biology, glaciology and history. The ship offers 360-degree polar landscape viewing, with ‘his and hers’ saunas, a heated salt water pool and a gym.

It also offers a full-service health and wellness centre.
