Avoya Travel kicked off its largest annual conference on Tuesday amid record sales by its network of Independent Agencies. Hosted in San Diego, California, the event brings together Independent Agencies, supplier partners and Avoya support staff.

During the four-day conference Independent Agencies and other attendees will participate in the reveal of Avoya’s new brand strategy and activities focused on imagining new ways to plan vacations.

Avoya also plans to introduce new programs for its Independent Agency network to offer their customers better expert service and value.

Keynote addresses are scheduled from industry leaders including Vicki Freed, svp sales, trade support and service at Royal Caribbean International; Kristin Karst, evp and co-owner of AmaWaterways; Guy Young, president and ceo of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises; Camille Olivere, svp sales at Club Med; and Steve Born, vp marketing at Globus family of brands.

Independent Agencies will also participate in a preferred partner trade show, workshops and networking events that highlight Avoya’s commitment to giving back to the community, including a food-packing event that will provide more than 70,000 meals to earthquake victims in Nepal.

'We are excited to offer a conference program that brings our key stakeholders together and further positions Avoya Travel as an industry leader and trendsetter in travel,' said Jeffrey Anderson, evp, Avoya Travel.

The conference will take place through May 29 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.
