Azamara books further World Wildlife Fund speakers
Azamara Club Cruises will host a shipboard World Wildlife Fund Guest Speaker Series on topics ranging from climate change to food waste.

In June WWF’s Dr. Nikhil Advani spoke aboard Azamara about the impact of climate change. Future speakers will include leading experts in diverse subjects.

Among them is Nilanga Jayasinghe, program officer, wildlife conservation, whose focus is on Asian species, particularly elephants, rhinos, tigers and snow leopards.

Cassie O’Connor, manager, foundation relations, will talk about WWF's support to conservation projects throughout the world. Pete Pearson, director of food waste, who helps business understand how agriculture and wildlife conservation intersect, will address food waste prevention and food recovery.

Dr. Sybille Klenzendorf, senior biologist, wildlife conservation, leads wildlife conflict mitigation and Arctic species conservation issues for the WWF network. Michael Osmond, meanwhile, works to improve fisheries and manages a program that brings together the fishing industry, research institutes, universities and governments to inspire and reward practical, innovative fishing gear designs that reduce bycatch.

Nicky Sundt, consultant on energy and climate change issues, has more than 35 years of experience working in government, NGOs and the private sector.

In addition to the speaker series, Azamara will sell a plush version of WWF's iconic panda, with 100% of the net proceeds going to support oceans conservation work.
