Azamara restructures sales team, promotes three
Azamara Club Cruises introduced a new sales structure that it said created a decentralized field sales organization, promoted three people and plans to add sales positions in key markets in the coming months.

Azamara said the decentralized field sales group would help strategic business managers to support and engage travel agents while positioning the brand for growth.

The company promoted Nils Lindstad to director of sales & service development and Lori Goldspiel and Jon Grutzner to directors of field sales.

The new hires planned in coming months will all report to Ellen Bettridge, vp sales and marketing.

Lindstad will be responsible for sales strategy implementation, reporting and leading the call centers and business development support teams.

Goldspiel and Grutzner are now responsible for overseeing the relationships of Azamara’s top travel partners. By having directors who live in the regions they manage, Azamara said it will better support their strategic business development managers and, in turn, enhance their ability to consistently engage travel partners.

'We are delighted to promote Nils, Lori and Jon, who have all excelled in their positions at Azamara Club Cruises and demonstrated a passion and intimate understanding of destination immersion,' Bettridge said.

The restructuring had been anticipated following the departure of Carmen Corvos Roig, who was associate vp sales, the Americas.
