Azamara's renamed The Sanctum spa will have holistic approach

Azamara's renamed The Sanctum spa will have holistic approach
Azamara Spa will be renamed The Sanctum and incorporate new programs with a focus on wellness and holistic health and beauty treatments. A new private terrace will provide for outdoor treatments.

During the early 2016 drydocks for Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest, the spa will be revitalized with a fresh, contemporary style and get new carpeting, wall coverings and windows.

The floor plan will be reworked to provide an open area, and open-air space for select spa services on a private outdoor deck, The Sanctum Terrace. The spa facilities will include a nail bar and pedicure area, dedicated stations for barber services and teeth whitening, and a full medi-spa and acupuncture clinic.

The new Club Spa Suites adjacent to The Sanctum also will have contemporary décor with custom-designed fabrics and furniture and a bathroom with his and her's sinks, rich wood grains and a separate rain shower. The shower will have a sea view, while a spacious veranda with private soaking tub will overlook the ocean.

Amenities for Club Spa Suites include a $200 spa credit, per suite, one 'Nights in Private Places' shore program, afternoon delivery of healthy snacks, Frette plush robes and slippers and relaxing music.

Azamara Journey is scheduled to enter drydock in January at Grand Bahama Shipyard, while Azamara Quest will undergo its work in April in Singapore.
