Bentours, a subsidiary of Cox & Kings, replaces Discover the World, gsa for Voyages of Discovery, Swan Hellenic and Hebridean Island Cruises, which has represented Hurtigruten in Australia since 2009.
Ironically, Discover the World assumed the Hurtigruten gsa role from Bentours which was part of the TUI Group’s MyPlanet at the time.
‘The goal of the new partnership with Bentours is to facilitate (our) rapid expansion of expedition cruising and coastal voyages,’ Cyril Bricaud, Hurtigruten’s vp sales and marketing, said.
‘Bentours has been a key partner of Hurtigruten for many years and this next step will cement this great partnership and initiate local industry support strategies,’ Bentours ceo Damian Perry said.
Perry said Bentours has established a dedicated Hurtigruten team to sell and market the product across the industry.
