Known for his creativity and innovation, Zorn brings 30 years of experience from award-winning boutique and luxury hotels, resorts, catering organizations and cruise lines. He has served as executive culinary consultant with Hong Kong-based Apiro Group, culinary director at Tauck River Cruises and director of culinary operations at Crystal Cruises. Earlier, he had a seven-year stint with Uniworld.
Other positions have been with Silversea Cruises, Ligabue Cruise Catering, Peter Deilmann Cruises, Cunard and Royal Viking Line. Zorn also worked shoreside at properties like The Four Seasons Kempinski Munich, Universal Group Hotels & Resorts Maldives, Hotel Residence Munich, Landhaus Carstens Timmendorfer Strand, Sun International Hotels & Resorts South Africa and Miro Group Hotel in Switzerland.
He was a key member of the pre-opening team for Genting House Group's Tropical Island Theme Park near Berlin.
Certified as a global master chef by the World Chefs Association, Zorn also has participated in guest chef programs with Michelin-star chefs Paul Bocuse, Wolfgang Puck, and Philippe Etchebest and Le Cordon Bleu's Jean C. Boucheret.
Uniworld's luxurious vessels sail the rivers of Europe, Russia, Egypt and Asia and are known for a high crew to passenger ratio and gourmet cuisine. The newly launched river concept, U by Uniworld, targets millennials and offers a creative modern dining experience with classic options, comfort foods and dishes inspired by the cities visited and made from locally sourced ingredients.
Zorn is based at the Uniworld office in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, and will frequently travel to vessels in the fleet.
