Bohai Ferry chairman resigns

Bohai Cruise operates one ship, Chinese Taishan. The company intends to expand by acquiring more and larger cruise vessels
Yang Wei Xin, chairman of cruise ship and ferry operator Bohai Ferry, has resigned.

Due to an undisclosed job-related reason, Yang is leaving his positions of Bohai Ferry chairman, board member, director of the strategy committee and legal representative. His departure will not affect the normal operation of the company, Bohai Ferry said in a statement.

Yu Xin Jiang steps up

Board member Yu Xin Jiang will be acting as the chairman until a replacement is hired.

Bohai Ferry, China’s largest ro-pax operator, runs a cruise business through its Hong Kong-registered subsidiary Bohai Cruise. 

The company owns cruise ship Chinese Taishan and plans to purchase larger and more cruise vessels by 2021 to expand in the sector.
