Bozcaada joins Mediterranean cruise map

Bozcaada joins Mediterranean cruise map
Bozcaada island, located just off Turkey’s Aegean coastline, is the latest port to join the Mediterranean cruise map.

12 nautical miles to the Dardanelles, its proximity to the Aegean islands and Istanbul provides a great advantage to itinerary planners.

Thomson Spirit will call Bozcaaada 11 times this year and Seabourn Odyssey is making seven calls. Terre Moana visited on June 7.

An anchor port, Bozcaada is connected by a scheduled ferry to the Turkish mainland. The 3.4 nautical miles can be covered in 25 minutes providing access (full day tours) to the ancient cities of Troy, Assos and Alexandria Troas as well as the Gallipoli Peninsular, a short drive from the ferry landing point.

Bozcaada itself is a small fishing village dotted with cafes, shops and restaurants. Closeby are beaches and vineyards. Viticulture and wine making on the island date back 3,000 years, almost half the island is covered in vineyards. A beach and vineyard tour with wine tasting takes 4.5hrs.
