Busan, Kanazawa ports ink agreement to boost cruise industry
Busan Port Authority (BPA) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japan’s Kanazawa port to jointly market cruising in Northeast Asia and increase cruise calls at the respective ports.

Park Chung-sik, operational director at BPA, said: 'To attract cruise calls to Busan port, we plan to cooperate with major cruise ports in Northeast Asia and to enhance networks.'

Kanazawa is the first Japanese port Busan has entered into a joint marketing framework to promote cruising in the area.

BPA said Busan port saw tremendous growth potential of Kanazawa port based on its tourism resources and population in metropolitan areas. Kanazawa port aims to attract additional port of calls from cruise vessels through this colloboration with Busan.
