At least nine people have died and more than 250 are injured after an earthquake of 6.4 magnitude hit east of Kumamoto and other parts of Kyushu Island.
Officials say more people could be trapped under collapsed buildings.
No tsunami warning was issued.
Hakata Port and Fukuoka City is just over one hour's drive away from the earthquake zone. Yoshi Koyanagi, director of cruise promotion at Fukuoka City, Economy, Tourism & Culture Bureau confirmed, 'all port facilities and staff at Hakata are ok and we are ready to welcome cruise calls.'
Royal Caribbean International's Quantum of the Seas is due to start calling in Kumamoto starting next month through to end of the year.
