20 under 40 will spotlight 20 young professionals who are under the age of 40 from different sectors of the cruise industry, either working ashore or on board.
Seatrade is looking for 20 under 40-year-olds from the global cruise industry who have shown either great initiative, an exceptionally hardworking culture or demonstrated strong leadership.
The 20 under 40 for 2018 will be announced at Seatrade Cruise Med in Lisbon, taking place between September 19-20.
Those people who could be your colleagues or direct reports, or they could be you.
You can nominate yourself, a colleague or anyone else who you think deserves the recognition.
The deadline for the nomination is June 29.
A panel of judges, including Craig Milan, vp itinerary planning & destination development at Virgin Voyages; Liz Gammon, gm of TVG Travel; and Mary Bond, editor of Seatrade Cruise News, will assess the entries in July, after the entry is closed.

They will shortlist 40 applications during the selection process, and the 20 finalists will be announced at Seatrade Cruise Med.
‘I think it is really important to encourage, support and mentor young talent in the cruise industry as they hold its future in their hands,’ commented Milan, who was keen to support this initiative.
The announcement and presentation will take place September 20, from 1:20 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. at the Excellence Theatre on the show floor. The finalists will be presented with a certificate and their names announced on Seatrade Cruise News and via social media.
Join the judges on stage
The finalists will join the judges on stage and have a chat about what motivates them and drives their success, providing an opportunity to network with other young talent and some of the most senior cruise executives, and celebrate the excellence in cruising.
The 20 Under 40 by definition will be eligible for the people who are age 39 or under by September 20.
