Capital year for Forth Ports

Capital year for Forth Ports
Another successful and growing cruise season for Forth Ports Ltd, which claims, under its Capital Cruising banner, to be the only UK port operator to offer cruise ship access to Britain’s two capital cities of London and Edinburgh.

Collectively Forth Ports serves around 30 cruise operators, 190,000 passengers and 130 calls at dedicated facilities in Tilbury, Leith (Edinburgh) Rosyth, Dundee and two anchorages in the Forth Estuary.

Tilbury’s London Cruise Terminal is the 2015 homeport for Cruise & Maritime Voyages Magellan while 14 ships are scheduled to use Forth Ports’ Newhaven anchorage, a new facility, near Leith, Edinburgh this year.

Dundee is showing strong growth following CMV’s commitment with Magellan.  Customer demand to board closer to home and Interest in the city due to the V&A Museum and water front development has supported growth from two calls in 2014, to six in 2015 and 10 in 2016
