Captain to go back on Concordia, Costa officials reportedly under investigation
Capt. Francesco Schettino was granted his request to return to Costa Concordia for the first time since the ship capsized off Giglio, and two Costa Crociere officials are under investigation for possibly tampering with the sealed bridge, according to Italy's ANSA news service.

A court in Grosseto approved Schettino's visit to the wreck as part of an inspection on Thursday.

Meanwhile, ANSA said Franco Porcellacchia, Costa's project manager for the wreck's removal, and Capt. Camillo Casella, a Costa consultant, are under investigation for possibly entering the bridge, which has been sealed by the court.

A third person is also suspected of entering the sealed area on Jan. 22, the day before a group of technical and legal experts went on board to seek further information for possible use in the criminal trial.

At the time, Schettino's defense team claimed the bridge had been tampered with, affecting potentially 'crucial evidence.'
