Dona Lisel Regis joins from the St. Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority
The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority and Tortola Pier Park Ltd. appointed a seasoned ports professional as chief executive of Tortola Pier Park.

Dona Lisel Regis is responsible for establishing and training the management of the new landside development adjacent to Road Town's cruise pier, which is being enlarged to handle next-generation ships. Regular interaction with commercial and retail tenants is another duty.

Regis has worked in a leadership capacity in marketing, cruise tourism, shopping center management and accounting. She also brings more than 14 years of experience in the port industry.

Previously she was director of marketing and product development at the St. Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority for more than seven years and provided consultancy services for several other Caribbean cruise ports.

Regis holds an MBA from the University of Durham, is a Certified Professional Marketer with the American Marketing Association and a Certified Customer Service Trainer with the Service Quality Institute. In addition, Regis has received advanced training in shopping center management from the International Council of Shopping Centers and retail business management from the National Retail Federation.

Tortola Pier Park Ltd. will manage the daily operations of Tortola Pier Park, a commercial and entertainment center that the port authority said is intended to deliver a world-class experience for BVI cruise visitors.

Regis was welcomed last week by Anghel R. George, chairman of Tortola Pier Park Ltd., and Claude O. Skelton Cline, managing director of the BVI Ports Authority.
