Carnival beefs up sales coverage and Tomasino, Neal get new roles
Carnival Cruise Line shifted two of its most experienced sales professionals to new roles and appointed sales directors to oversee two newly created territories. The company is also creating a new position responsible for the Gulf Coast region. Sales management positions have been added within the line’s international division, as well.

Thirty-year Carnival veteran Vicki Tomasino was appointed regional vp of the western US. She will oversee business development, training and sales support for travel partners in this region, while continuing to lead the trade and community relations team.

Kirk Neal, with 28 years of experience shipboard and shoreside at Carnival, has been named regional vp of the eastern US and Caribbean. Neal will focus on business development and travel partner support in this region.

'With these new appointments, we’re placing a stronger focus on key sales territories with two of the most trusted and talented sales professionals in the cruise industry,' said Adolfo Pérez, vp trade sales and marketing for Carnival. 'Vicki and Kirk are already hard at work with their teams implementing a number of initiatives designed to better support our valued travel agent partners.'

Additionally, Carnival named Ann Hall, a 14-year company veteran, business development director for the Greater New York City area. Mimma Mallogi, who has been with Carnival for seven years, was appointed business development director for the Pacific Northwest region. The line is recruiting for a new business development manager position for the Gulf Coast region.

'Mimma and Ann are hitting the ground running in their expanded roles, bringing their extensive sales expertise and energy to their respective regions,' said Mike Julius, vp US field sales. 'They’re both highly skilled sales professionals who will contribute greatly to travel agent development in their regions.'

Plus, Carnival added two new business development manager positions within the international sales division. Overseeing Spain, South America and Mexico is Carlos Yebra, a 24-year travel industry veteran based in Madrid, Spain. Responsible for the balance of Europe, as well as Israel and Japan, is Paul Nyens, a travel industry sales professional based in Antwerp, Belgium, with 26 years of travel industry experience.
