Carnival Corp. boosts dividend to 45 cents/share

Carnival Corp. & plc announced a 12% increase in its quarterly dividend to 45 cents per share, up from 40 cents per share.

This follows a 14% increase earlier this year 'reflecting continued confidence in our sustained earnings improvement and strong cash flow,' according to CFO David Bernstein. 'The increased dividend, combined with our ongoing share repurchase program, affirms our continued commitment to return cash to shareholders.'

The dividend will be paid on Dec. 15 to shareholders of record on Nov. 24.
