OceanView will debut on more than half of the company's 103 ships
Carnival Corp. & plc is launching OceanView, a digital streaming channel with free access on land and at sea to original travel content produced by the company.

Shows from the OceanView channel are now available on major digital streaming platforms Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku. In addition, OceanView will debut on more than half of the company's 103 ships and will be available in late October on the Ocean.com website.

Featured are more than 100 episodes including the four original series that have been broadcast on network and cable television over the past year, as well as two new direct-to-digital streaming original series, 'GO' and 'Local Eyes.'

Plus, OceanView will provide video collections from the company's brands so viewers can see christening ceremonies featuring royalty and celebrities, as well as ship design and construction, culinary creations and other content.

Carnival Corp. plans to launch OceanView on Thursday with an event in New York's Times Square that synchronizes multiple digital billboards to showcase the new streaming channel, as well as an activation center where people can learn more.

The company will also use the event to demonstrate its new PlayOcean interactive gaming platform, including two new mobile apps and shipboard experiences.

'Our original programming is already a big hit on network and cable TV. And now, with the launch of OceanView, we are excited about making our authentic experiences accessible to people around the world through digital media,' said Carnival Corp.'s John Padgett, chief experience and innovation officer. 'Our ultimate goal is to continue generating broad awareness of cruising as a great vacation and exceptional value, and to inspire consumers to consider cruising as a vacation option.'

Shows in the new direct-to-digital platform series 'GO' and 'Local Eyes' run 10 minutes commercial-free, with episode collections that will be released periodically.

'GO' chronicles the artist and explorer Trek Thunder Kelly as he travels the world by ocean in search of his next exotic destination. 'Local Eyes' introduces viewers to destinations through their local residents. Hosted by world traveler Anji Corley, the show immerses viewers into the authentic side of each destination.

OceanView's portfolio includes 'Vacation Creation' (ABC), 'Ocean Treks with Jeff Corwin' (ABC), 'The Voyager' (NBC) and 'Good Spirits' (A&E Networks). The second seasons of the three network series begin this week.
