Josh Leibowitz, chief strategy officer, Carnival Corp. & plc, has taken on additional duties as svp Cunard North America. He now reports to Arnold Donald in his corporate job and to Simon Palethorpe, svp Cunard, in the UK.

Rick Meadows previously oversaw Cunard in North America, along with serving as Seabourn president.

'Josh will take the helm of Cunard's North America operations to further expand the brand's presence there and to allow Rick Meadows the opportunity to fully focus on the ultra-luxury segment and take best advantage of the great opportunities we have there,' Donald said.

In the past two years, Meadows successfully managed the North America operation for Cunard during high-profile events to mark Queen Mary 2's remastering and Cunard’s 175th anniversary.

Meadows has just handled the development and delivery of Seabourn Encore, which builds on the Odyssey-class trio, and presided over its naming festivities in Singapore. A sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, is to follow in spring 2018.

Meadows continues to report to Stein Kruse, ceo, Holland America Group.

Leibowitz has been with Carnival Corp. for more than three years and oversees corporate strategy for Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises, P&O Cruises, Cunard and Seabourn.

The added Cunard duties entail operations for the brand in North America.

In his Carnival Corp. role, Leibowitz formerly reported to Alan Buckelew, who was chief operations officer but recently took a new position as chief information officer.
