Four- and five-day cruises
Carnival Dream became the newest Carnival Cruise Line ship to operate a program of short sailings from Galveston. It will sail four- and five-day cruises year-round.
'Carnival Cruise Line was the first cruise line to call Galveston its home. Since 2000, we have enjoyed our relationship with Carnival and look forward to many more years together,' said Rodger Rees, CEO and port director.
Carnival Dream is scheduled for 50 departures in the 2019 season. These sailings include four-day weekend cruises sailing Thursdays to Cozumel, while five-day voyages on Mondays and Saturdays to Cozumel and Progreso or Costa Maya.
Three Fun Ships
Carnival Dream joins Carnival Vista, which repositioned to Galveston last year, and Carnival Freedom. Vista and Freedom sail weeklong cruises.
Together the three ships are expected to carry nearly 650,000 passengers annually from Galveston, the most of any cruise line.
