More than 40 volunteers on Carnival Cruise Line's employee-driven F.U.N. Team helped prepare a Thankgiving meal at the Camillus House in Miami. The volunteers carved 160 turkeys for the 700 homeless men and women who celebrated their Thanksgiving holiday meal at the shelter.

The F.U.N. Team was established by the Carnival Foundation in 1997 as a grassroots organization designed to go beyond traditional volunteer service initiatives by giving employees opportunities to venture out into the community and offer help where it is needed.

Rather than donating money or participating in company-sponsored events, the F.U.N. Team is run by employees who seek community service organizations on their own, then interact with them on a more personal level. Activities typically take place on a weekly basis throughout South Florida.
