Carnival group deal waives deposit, gives free berth for 10 bookings
In a new group sales promotion, Carnival Cruise Line is waiving its initial deposit requirement and offering a free berth on a variety of departures. The 'Great Group Getaway' promotion can be booked through June 30.

Deposits are waived on select two- to 15-day sailings to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexican Riviera, Canada and Europe departing between January 2016 and April 2017.

In addition, travel agents can earn one free berth for every 10 full fare passengers berthed (compared to the current policy of one free berth for every 15) on all cruises included in the promotion period. On select sailings, agents can also earn one free cruise berth for every eight full fare passengers.

'We wanted to kick off the summer season with a robust and attractive group promotion that would drive lucrative affinity and multigenerational group travel opportunities to our valued travel agent partners,' said Mike Julius, Carnival’s senior managing director of field sales.

He added that at 'Carnival Conversations' events, agents said waived deposits and enhanced free tour conductor berths continue to be popular incentives for securing group bookings.

Group fares applicable to this promotion begin at $299.
