Carnival hires Gap marketing pro with digital expertise, Chinese fluency
Carnival Cruise Line appointed Gap Inc./Old Navy veteran Taylor Bux as vp marketing services. He'll oversee consumer public relations, brand experience and grassroots marketing, social media and branded content, advertising and creative services.

Bux reports directly to chief marketing officer Kathy Mayor. The previous vp marketing, Stephanie Evans Greene, left in June.

Bux has 15 years of global experience in brand marketing, digital and mobile marketing, strategy, management and business development in Europe, Asia and North America. Most recently he served as global director of digital and social media marketing for Gap Inc./Old Navy. He was responsible for all global digital, mobile and social media marketing for the brand, which also included CRM strategy, data and analytics and online brand communications.

Earlier Bux held roles at Ward Ferry Management and Razorfish, a marketing and advertising agency whose clients include top international brands like Nike, Converse, Gap, NBA, Cartier, Audi, Lenscrafters and Diageo.

Bux was gm and founding partner at One9ninety Pte Ltd, a marketing agency in China, and other marketing jobs were at Lowe Profero, a digital agency in Shanghai; Ketchum, a global communications firm; and USA Today.

He is fluent in Chinese.
