Carnival Paradise enters Havana harbor
Citing a 'strong response' to its first Cuba cruises announced earlier this year, Carnival Cruise Line added five more voyages featuring extended Havana calls in 2018.

They'll operate round-trip Tampa on Carnival Paradise.

The new sailings include three five-day cruises to Havana and Cozumel or Key West departing Feb. 17, July 2 and Sept. 5, a six-day cruise featuring Havana and Grand Cayman on Aug. 26, and an eight-day voyage with stops at Havana, Grand Cayman and Cozumel departing Aug. 18.

All include a full day and overnight in Havana with the Aug. 18 eight-day cruise offering two full days at the Cuban capital.

'Our cruises to Cuba have been very well received and we’re delighted to provide our guests with additional opportunities to experience and explore this fascinating and sought-after destination,' Carnival president Christine Duffy said.

Earlier this year, Carnival announced a series of four- and five-day Havana voyages that kicked off in late June. Upcoming departures in the initial program include four-day cruises on Aug. 24, Sept. 7 and 21, and Oct. 5 and 19, 2017, as well as May 3, 2018, and five-day voyages on Aug. 28, Sept. 25 and Oct. 9, 2017.

Carnival Paradise offers nearly 20 shore excursions that showcase Cuba’s culture, beauty and centuries-old architectural landmarks. Aboard ship are newly added Cuban-themed entertainment and activities.

The Havana visits comply with US regulations for people-to-people travel.
