Carnival Cruise Line resumed calls at St. Thomas on Tuesday with a day-long visit by Carnival Glory.

This is the first of dozens of post-hurricane calls planned by Carnival ships to the US Virgin Island in the coming weeks.

More than 3,400 passengers were aboard Carnival Glory. Excursions to beaches, landmarks and attractions, and shopping in Charlotte Amalie were available.

Next week Carnival is scheduled to return to St. Maarten with a visit by Carnival Sunshine.
