Carnival Splendor is missing two ports on this week's cruise
Update lists the greater amount of compensation passengers are receiving.

Carnival Splendor is missing St. Thomas and Amber Cove on this week's cruise due to a technical issue that's affecting the ship's maximum cruising speed.

Carnival Cruise Line said the on-board technical team is working to assess the repairs.

The two calls were dropped so Carnival Splendor can return to Miami Sunday, as scheduled.

Passengers will receive a 50% refund and a 50% credit toward a future cruise as well as a $100 per person shipboard credit.

Carnival Splendor had sailed Feb. 26 from Miami.
