Carnival veteran Rittenhouse takes FleetPro Ocean presidency
Lania Rittenhouse, a veteran of Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line, Renaissance Cruises and Fraser Yachts, joined FleetPro Passenger Ship Management as president of FleetPro Ocean in Miami.

'Lania brings FleetPro a combination of hotel operations and ship technical management experience, which is perfectly in line with our strategic position,' said Robert Straubhaar, group ceo of FleetPro Passenger Ship Management.

Straubhaar said Rittenhouse's primary role will be to focus on growing the business while ensuring FleetPro's diverse clients continue to receive personalized service.

Rittenhouse previously was vp product development at Carnival. She left about a month ago.

A Carnival spokeswoman said there are no plans for a new hire to fill that role. Mark Tamis, svp guest operations, continues to oversee product development, and people in the various product areas such as dining, entertainment, bars, youth programming and outer decks are responsible for product development in partnership with Tamis.
