On the eve of her 2016-17 extended season in Sydney, Celebrity Solstice will undergo an A$11.25m revitalisation in Singapore.

Solstice will be the first international cruise ship to return to Sydney for the local summer season on October 8. The 2,850-passenger ship then heads for Singapore via Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Cairns, Darwin and Bali.

She enters the Sembcorp Marine Shipyard in Singapore on October 22 and on October 31 makes a return 14-night voyage to Sydney where she will be homeported until April 20, 2017.

She will be sporting a new outdoor movie screen, alcove-style Lawn Club cabanas, an authentic Japanese restaurant called Sushi on Five, an up-to-the-minute digital photo gallery and an art gallery with a dedicated auction site.

Celebrity Solstice will be the first of the Solstice-class ships to offer ‘A Taste of Film’ experience where food that is shown in the movies will be served.

‘We’ve no doubt Australians are going to love all our new offerings and can’t wait to unveil them,’ said Adam Armstrong, md of Celebrity Cruises in Australia and New Zealand.
