Celebrity veteran to lead CLIA's strategic partnerships

Marla Phaneuf - will oversee business development and retention strategies
Marla Phaneuf, previously team director for the New England region at Celebrity Cruises, joined Cruise Lines International Association as vp strategic partnerships, North America.

She will be responsible for the association's strategic alliances and work with partners to ensure member engagement and satisfaction.

At Celebrity Phaneuf worked to build brand awareness and had a record of generating new business and increasing sales. Before Celebrity she worked at the American Automobile Association and owned a travel agency. 

CLIA acting ceo Cindy D'Aoust called Phaneuf 'an incredible addition to our team,' citing her 'drive and passion for building successful partnerships and teams, coupled with her impressive background in the cruise industry.'

Phaneuf will oversee all business development and retention strategies, including identifying and marketing the value of CLIA to potential Executive Partners. She also will develop strategic marketing alliances with organizations that focus on the CLIA North America travel agent community.
