CLIA Australasia's annual awards dinner raised more than A$5,000 for Mercy Ships
A special raffle was held at CLIA Australasia’s annual awards dinner at The Star Event Centre in Sydney last Saturday to raise money for Mercy Ships.

Alan Burrell, md Australia for Mercy Ships, CLIA’s global charity of choice, showed an emotive video highlighting the work of the volunteer medical staff in providing free treatment for people in the developing world.

The 500 industry members attending the event dug deep into their pockets and it was announced today that the raffle exceeded the target of A$5,000.

‘The work that Mercy Ships is doing is unique and our partnership is a natural fit,’ Burrell told the audience. ‘As the world’s largest cruise industry association, CLIA and its members are bringing  tremendous value to our organisation and we are proud to have their support.’
