In addition to the expanded executive committee, CLIA has announced two new chairs
for its working groups. Jo Vaughton, Celebrity Cruises director of brand marketing and PR, is to chair the CLIA PR working group and Stuart Perl, AmaWaterways managing director, is to be the new chair for the river cruise working group.
Peter Shanks to chair expedition working group
It has also formed an expedition working group, to be chaired by Peter Shanks, Silversea UK managing director. Cruise line members will include Celebrity Cruises, Aurora Expeditions, Ponant, Silversea, Holland America Line, Seabourn and Crystal Cruises.
In other news, CLIA UK & Ireland has upgraded its Cruise Search Tool to offer travel agents a streamlined and modernised experience when searching from cruise itineraries and ship information.
The upgrade will be rolled out across Europe and will be available to all CLIA travel agent members on cruiseexperts.org, noted Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, plus it has announced a first ever expedition cruise event taking place on March 28, 2019 in London.
