Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) revealed that British Isles, Norway, the Baltic and sunshine favourites the Canary Islands and Madeira, Caribbean and Mexico are the most popular cruise destinations for its guests in 2018 based on bookings sailing from 11 ex-UK departure ports.

High on the CMV Top 10 destinations list for 2018 are British Isles cruises, as well as those featuring Northern Lights and St Petersburg.

For the first time in 2018 CMV will operate a multi-generational cruise to the Baltic Cities & St Petersburg, on Columbus sailing from London Tilbury on August 11 with fares from £1,129pp and a child fare of £199.

Adventurous destinations in the Top 10 for 2018 include Iceland and the Faroes, the Arctic and Greenland.

Iceland has seen a 30% increase in the number of tourists visiting the country in the past year. The popular TV drama series Game of Thrones and the dramatic scenery featured in the show have been largely credited for driving the increase in popularity of Iceland as a destination in 2018, notes CMV.

The river Seine and Rouen plus North European Christmas markets cruises also make it on to the Top 10 list for 2018.
