Costa returns to Port Everglades this winter, will have no ships in Miami
Costa Deliziosa will sail from Florida's Port Everglades for the 2015/16 Caribbean season. The 92,720gt ship will offer a 10-night itinerary that spans the eastern and western Caribbean.

In recent years Costa Cruises ships have sailed seasonally from PortMiami. There will be no Costa presence in Miami during the coming winter season.

Costa's last Port Everglades deployment was during the 2010/11 season.

Costa Deliziosa, which will depart regularly from a US homeport for the first time, sails a near-circumnavigation of the Caribbean. The six cruises feature calls at Nassau or Freeport, the new Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Roatán and Cozumel or Costa Maya.

'Costa's Caribbean itineraries enable guests to enjoy two destinations in one cruise, with Caribbean ports of call by day and the Italian ambiance of the ship at night,' said Scott Knutson, vp sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America. He added that Costa Deliziosa's longer itineraries allow travelers to 'experience more of the Caribbean, unwind and have a truly relaxing vacation.'

Departures include Dec. 28, calling at Ocho Rios on New Year's Day, and Jan. 16 and 26, and Feb. 5, 15 and 25.

A special seven-night Christmas sailing departing Dec. 21 features calls at Costa Maya, Belize, Roatán on Christmas Day and Grand Cayman.
