Costa neoRomantica will host participants of the fourth Eastern Economic Forum, designed to promote the accelerated development of the Far East economy, taking place in Vladivostok from September 11-13, 2018.

Interest in this year’s forum is very high and one of the most pressing issues for the organisers is the availability of sufficient accommodation in Vladivostock and around the region of Primorye.

‘This year the number of applications is much larger than in the past, and heads of state are expected,’ said Yuriy Trutnev Russia’s deputy Prime Minister.

According to Andrei Tarasenko, the head of Primorye district, there are 1,800 rooms in accredited hotels, as well as over 4,400 rooms on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University for forum participants.

Costa ship chartered by Rosmorport

In addition, this year for the first time guests will be accommodated in the Costa ship which has been chartered by Rosmorport as a floating hotel.

The cruise ship has about 600 rooms, of which 400 have been reserved by the organizers of the EEF forum.

Costa neoRomantica will arrive in the port of Vladivostok on September 8 and be ready for boarding by delegates the following day.

As part of the EEF’s social program Russian sailing ships Nadezhda and Pallada, vessels Miraie and Ami from Japan, LE QUY DON from Vietnam, BimaSuchi from Indonesia and Koreana from South Korea will berth in Vladivostock during the event.

Legend of the Seas used as floating hotel

It is the second time a cruise ship has been chartered for high level events in Vladivostok. The first one was in 2012 when Royal Caribbean International's Legend of the Seas was chartered for participants at the APEC(Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit.
