Costa plans Christmas and New Year festivities
Costa Cruises is organising special Christmas and New Year festivities onboard ships deployed in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, United Arab Emirates, South America and Asia.

During Christmas itineraries, children will have a dedicated program of entertainment including an appearance by Santa Claus in every ship’s theatre. The menu of Christmas Day will include roast turkey and panettone as well as foie gras, crab salad and caviar, accompanied by mashed potatoes.

Costa Deliziosa, Costa Fascinosa and Costa Diadema, are sailing seven day Christmas cruises in the western Med. Diadema is calling in Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Naples and La Spezia. In Naples, guests can visit San Gregorio street to admire the renowned wooden cribs carved by local craftsmen.

Costa Deliziosa and Costa Fascinosa’s cruises will call in Civitavecchia allowing guests to visit Rome and explore Christmas markets including Piazza Navona with its theme-decorated stalls, hand-made items and traditional Epiphany socks. On December 25, Costa Fascinosa’s guests will be able to attend Christmas Mass, celebrated by the Pope in St Peter’s Square in Rome.

New Year’s Eve will feature a menu of selected dishes from Italian regional culinary tradition, such as risotto and stuffed tortelloni, Tuscan cured ham with crostini and Ligurian Cappon Magro with Maine lobster.

Around midnight zampone with lentils will be served at the buffet as well as panettone and chocolate mousse.
