In this, Costa Crociere's 70th anniversary year, its ships are getting new livery that pays tribute to the company's homeland.

On the bow a stylized Italian flag will be painted under the ship's name, which appears larger and in a new font.

The first to display the livery is Costa Mediterranea. Its new look was completed during the April 5 short Mediterranean cruise. At Marseille the port side of the bow was painted, with the starboard side completed the following day at Savona.

By the end of the year the rest of the Costa fleet will get the new livery. Newbuilds Costa Venezia and Costa Smeralda will also have the look upon their introductions in March 2019 and October 2019, respectively.
