Cowes welcomes Hanseatic Nature

Hanseatic Nature
Hanseatic Nature's Cowes debut
The Isle of Wight's up-and-coming cruise destination port Cowes Harbour welcomed the maiden call of Hanseatic nature on Monday.

Cowes Harbour Commission held a plaque exchange onboard the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises' new ship attended by Staff Captain Christoph Kunz, Cowes Harbour Master Capt. Stuart McIntosh, Cowes Mayor Lora Peacey Wilcox, and Chairman of Visit Isle of Wight Ian Griffiths.

Spurred by luxury cruise market growth

Cowes Harbour Commission is working proactively with the Island’s tourism organisation Visit Isle of Wight and other local stakeholders to promote Cowes as a cruise port-of-call, encouraged by the growth in the Northern European luxury cruise market.

Cruise ships under 150mtr visiting Cowes anchor in Cowes Roads at the C1 Anchorage with a five minute tender to shore, whilst ships over 150mtr anchor in the ABP Anchorage that has a 15 minute tender to Cowes.

All passengers disembark at the Trinity Landing pontoons off The Parade, in the heart of Cowes and right next to the Royal Yacht Squadron and Royal LondonYacht Club.
