According to Cruise Nation’s founder and md Phil Evans, ‘I have had the dream of building a unique travel company as a young boy and today we are now one of the most competitive cruise sales companies in the UK.’
Cruise Nation has grown from four employees, when it started eight years ago, to over 50 full time workers and Evans says he is looking to employ a further 30 people over the next 12-18 months.
It works with 16 different cruise lines including Celebrity, Royal Caribbean International, P&O, Costa, Norwegian and Carnival and specialises in creating cruise packages to a range of destinations to suit all budgets and interests.
‘In developing our TV studio and walk-in retail centre for the public we will be working closely with the local media talent in Wales and aim to have a global reach online but also on network television,’ said Evans.
The new studio will also be used to promote Swansea as a cruise destination.
Phil Roberts, chief executive of Swansea Council, said: ‘We welcome the potential for this to raise the profile of the cruise industry generally and also the additional jobs that are being brought to the city by Cruise Nation.’
