The first Crystal Diamond-class ship is scheduled to arrive in 2022
After first flashing a rendering in August during keel-laying festivities for its expedition yacht Crystal Endeavor at MV Werften, Crystal Cruises today said its new Diamond-class ships will measure approximately 67,000gt and carry about 800 passengers.

The first of these ships is due from MV Werften's Stralsund yard in 2022.

Design elements will take after existing Crystal ships

As earlier reported, the Diamond class will have luxury design elements and amenities in line with Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity and Crystal's newbuild river vessels and expedition yacht.

'Our ocean ships are the heart of the Crystal brand and have been loved by our guests for more than 28 years,' Crystal president and CEO Tom Wolber said. 'We are delighted to expand this celebrated fleet with amenities and spaces that our guests have come to love along with more choices and new experiences that will take luxury to the next level.'

More to come ...

Wolber said more details will be shared next year.
